Companies can implement the Scrum framework in their operations by first understanding that Scrum is not a process, technique, or definitive method, but a framework within which various processes and techniques can be employed. The first step is to form a Scrum team consisting of a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and the Development Team. The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team. The Scrum Master ensures that everyone follows Scrum theory, practices, and rules. The Development Team does the work. The team then works in Sprints, which are time-boxed events of a month or less, to create a usable and potentially releasable product increment. The Scrum framework also includes events such as the Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective to inspect and adapt the product and processes.
