IDEO gathered several key insights that influenced the final product design. One of the main insights was the importance of making an intimate connection with a child through spoon-feeding. They also found that baby food is often wasted if parents can't remember how long a product has been in the fridge. Additionally, they discovered that families struggle with how to spoon-feed their children on the go without making a mess. These insights led to the design of a transparent bowl that allows consumers to see the natural color of the food, a resealable lid for easy storage between feedings, and a feature that allows parents to track the day they opened the pack to prevent food waste. The package is also easily and safely stackable and includes a divot in the lid for parents to rest a spoon on, making for a cleaner and more sanitary feeding experience.
