Gap analysis can be incorporated into a business presentation by first identifying the areas for improvement. Then, review the current state of the business to determine the starting line for improvement. Gather all relevant business intelligence and document all of the contributing factors that created the current state. Next, define the end goal by setting quantifiable goals to strive for. This could be based on industry standards, competitor benchmarks, or historical data for your company. Finally, understand the gap by comparing the current state with the desired state. This will help identify the gaps that need to be addressed.
