The Bureau of Labor Statistics report for Q2 of 2022 indicates that business labor productivity has decreased by 4.6% from the previous quarter. This decline in productivity has been observed across various sectors, with some exceptions. For instance, sectors that allowed remote work reported a 3.3% annual increase in output per hour. Additionally, a study conducted in May 2022 found that workers who had the flexibility to work remotely at least some of the time were 9% more productive than those working exclusively from the office.
