Asking questions in sales is more effective than making statements because it leads clients to draw their own conclusions and sell themselves, rather than being sold. It also allows for better understanding of the client's needs and concerns. When you're asked a question and you're unsure why they asked, it's better to clarify by asking, 'That's an interesting question; why is that important to you?' rather than making assumptions.
